Himadri Lahiri is currently Professor of English at the School of Humanities, Netaji Subhas Open University, Kolkata. He is a former Professor in the Department of English and Culture Studies, The University of Burdwan, West Bengal. He has written extensively on Diaspora Studies and Indian English Literature. His latest book Diaspora Theory and Transnationalism was published by Orient Blackswan in 2019. He edited the volume Literary Transactions in a Globalized Context: Multi-Ethnicity, Gender and the Market Place (2011). He is also the co-editor of Ethnic Literatures of America: Diaspora and Intercultural Studies (2005), Violence and Its Representations (2012), Indian Fiction in English: Mapping the Contemporary Landscape (2013) and Contemporary Indian English Poetry and Drama (2019).
